I attended Sam Houston State University, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in applied art and sciences in the field of visual communication. While at college, I did a double minor in studio art and English. I tutor a range of subjects such as SAT preparation, literature, and homework support. However, it is writing that I am truly passionate about.To be a good tutor, one must use a wide range of different and creative teaching methods. I believe that all subjects are related in some way, so helping a student excel in one subject will cause him or her to do better in a completely unrelated discipline.I was lucky enough to spend last summer tutoring a group of high school students in writing. It was a privilege for me to watch them grow and develop over the duration of the course. By the end of the session, I was taken aback by some of their incredible ideas and writing samples. When I am not studying or writing, I enjoy being outdoors in nature. My other hobbies include cooking healthy food and being around my friends and family. I currently reside in Huntsville, Texas.
