As a tutor, I use many techniques to find the one that works best for each student's unique needs. Those techniques can include games, reverse teaching, tricks, and mnemonics. Every student can learn if given the right opportunity. I have a history of success when helping students pass courses and also in getting them ready for national and state exams. I am a patient teacher - I know because I've been told!I attended Loyola University-Chicago and Sam Houston State University and I am a 17-year veteran of teaching. I love to teach all ages and am experienced in Writing, Elementary and Middle School Math, Reading, English, and college-level Psychology. I also have taught almost every course and grade to special needs students.I tutor Elementary Math, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Grammar and Mechanics, Psychology, Earth Science, Math, English, Social Sciences, and Science, as well as IB Psychology HL and IB Psychology SL. I also help students prepare for standardized tests like the ISEE, SSAT, and STAAR, and I have extensive experience in tutoring special education students.In my free time, I enjoy walking, reading, and volunteering for the Red Cross.
