I attended the University of Houston where I acquired my bachelor's degree in biology and minored in psychology. I have always had a love for science. I am an enthusiastic teacher. Because of my enthusiastic personality, I believe that students feel comfortable with me. I also believe that my enthusiastic personality allows for me to teach in such a way that is fun and exciting for my students. The more creativity I put into my teaching, the more focused my students are. As for my teaching philosophy, I truly believe in using all different types of tools while teaching. I particularly love to use visual aids and analogies. These types of tools are used to help the student relate to what I am teaching. Currently, I am available to tutor both mathematics and biology. I have taught many different basic foundational math subjects. My main goal is to assist my students in developing their own study and learning strategies. I try to use some of the strategies I used as a student with my very own students. Most of these have been successful. When I am not teaching, I can be found running on trails. I like to stay in shape. I also love outside activities. When weather permits, I can be found exploring different trails and canoeing.
